Hiring a high-level Blockchain CTO

A stealth start-up tasked us with identifying a CTO who was able to build and lead the tech function in a stealth start up within the Blockchain Industry.

They were looking for an individual who is highly experienced with cryptocurrency and block chain, but one who also is comfortable with the chaos of a stealth start up.

The ideal person needed to be a strong technical expert, with a clear vision on how to steer the company forward, but also someone who can get stuck in!



Our Solution

Our experienced research team implemented a two-pronged strategy, which consisted of market mapping with analysis, paired with strategic headhunting and proactively sourcing individuals through our extensive network.

By utilising an agile process, the team provided the stealth start-up with weekly updates of candidate benchmarking and valuable insights into market dynamics.

 

Key Results

In-depth screening interviews ensured an objective evaluation of candidates which translated to a strong shortlist of 5, resulting in a 100% shortlist to interview rate.

The entire search process was successfully concluded within a 10-week timeframe.
The outcome of this search resulted in placing a highly successful CTO that aligned with the businesses core values and significantly contributed to the strength of the founding leadership team, which demonstrates our commitment to delivering successful outcomes with precision and efficiency. 

 

Key Data

• The project ran over ten weeks, between March and mid May 2023.

• We interviewed 21 potential candidates, which was cut down to a shortlist of five who went through to a first interview with the stealth start-up.

• Three candidates then progressed onto the second interview stage, and two in the final third interview stage before a candidate was chosen for the position.
